The next day I did a walking tour. They took us through the main downtown area and to see some of the main historic buildings of the city.
Church near Palacio Nacional.
Close up of the church!
Engineering school.
Postal office! Sometimes it can take weeks to deliver mail. I can't remember why though.
Stopped for a Gordita. Looks better than it tasted!
Taco Meat.
Taco al pastor (the shepherd's taco). Migrants from the middle east came in the early 1900s when the Ottoman empire was falling. They brought this Shawarma style of cooking to tacos and started selling them as “Arab tacos”. You'll now find meat cooked this way across Mexico.
After the tour, I wandered a bit on my own. I came across a building with a viewpoint. It was pretty expensive to go up top to be honest, but I did it anyway! The view was pretty awesome!
Views!
I got this sweet shot of Palacio de Bellas Artes!
I continued to wander the city for the rest of the day… I got some churros, took a nap and got late night Pozole.
Not so good fried tacos. Too crispy!
