One of the most surprising aspects of this trip has been the amount of cows, wild dogs, pigs and goats I have seen roaming the streets. In smaller towns, like Hubli, they can be found just about anywhere, here are some pictures:

Not so wild dogs

At first I used to walk away from the wild dogs, but they do not disturb humans, so I now say "what's up?" to them and continue on.
There is also a friendly neighbourhood mouse that comes out after dark at the office. How do I know? I used to come back at 1:30am to watch the World Cup matches, and sometimes he would join me.
At one restaurant, there were three chickens roaming around, so I named them Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.
Dinner
I have also made a few lizard friends. They are small little guys and are completely harmless. In fact, they are a form of pest control as they eat bugs. However, it is creepy to go to bed knowing there is one chilling on the ceiling. There are also a ton of frogs that I meet on my way to work. I will be half asleep and all of a sudden, a little guy will hop across the path. I once saw what I believe was an iguana, I named him Sam.
